User Authentication for Secure Access
Controlling access to the Modula automatic warehouse is essential for optimizing the supply chain and ensuring security. Authentication devices serve to protect stored materials and provide full visibility of picking and movement activities.
To access the warehouse, users must log in with personal tools such as a badge reader or EKS key. While the Copilot console includes basic security options like a key or password, these are less secure as they can be shared or observed.
With advanced authentication tools, the risk of unauthorized access is minimized, ensuring only authorized personnel can interact with stored materials. This enhances security and accountability across all operations.
Badge Reader
The badge reader offers a secure and convenient solution for controlling access to the Modula automatic warehouse. Connected directly to the Copilot console via USB, it provides higher security levels than standard login methods or password entry.
Operators use personal magnetic-strip badges, which are swiped through the reader for quick and easy access. This eliminates the need for frequent password renewals and reduces the risk of unauthorized access.
Compact and ergonomic, the badge reader can be mounted next to or directly on the Copilot console, ensuring easy and comfortable use. It’s an ideal tool for businesses seeking efficient and secure access control.
EKS Reader
The EKS electronic key reader offers a robust and efficient method for controlling access to the machine and individual trays. Users log in by inserting their electronic key into the reader, with login automatically registered and logout triggered upon key removal.
Each electronic key is equipped with a memory chip and transponder antenna, programmable via dedicated software. The EKS reader operates without a battery and connects seamlessly to the Modula WMS via an Ethernet interface, ensuring real-time synchronization with the warehouse management system.
Like the badge reader, the EKS reader provides traceability, customizable access, and portability. Additionally, it ensures automatic logout, enhancing security and simplifying operations.
Designed for industrial use, its robust construction and IP67 protection make it reliable even in demanding environments.
RFID Reader
The RFID reader offers a reliable and convenient solution for controlling access to your Modula automatic warehouse and its individual trays. Using wireless technology, the RFID reader allows operators to log in by simply holding their badge near the device, eliminating the need for swiping or physical contact.
Personal badges ensure secure access while reducing the need for password renewals and minimizing unauthorized entry. Compact and ergonomic, the RFID reader can be installed next to or directly on the Copilot console, connecting seamlessly via USB.
To enable this option, integration with Modula WMS software is required, ensuring efficient and secure access control tailored to your warehouse needs.
